Subtitled “Negotiating as if Your Life Depended on It”, this book on negotiation is authored by a former international hostage negotiator for the FBI. I first heard of Chris Voss on a podcast and later listened to his Master Class. Having found both to be intriguing and practical, I checked out the book and came away with even more practical insight. Given his former career, his anecdotes are gripping and methods are easily applicable for business or just day-to-day life. From day one you’ll find yourself implementing his methods and experiencing tangible results.
At 288 pages (hard cover) or eight hours, it’s the rare resource/business style book that is quick and easy to digest.
This sounds very interesting. I once attended a talk by a FBI handwriting expert and it was also gripping

I’d also recommend a book called, What Everybody is Saying. It’s written by a former agent and its about reading body language. Very interesting and actionable.
