What Every BODY Is Saying by Joe Navarro
Subtitled, An Ex-FBI Agent’s Guide to Speed-Reading People, this book offers the reader practical steps to begin reading the body language of others. It is easy to digest and its lessons can be applied instantly upon reading. I was floored at how useful this guide was for interpreting the mood of friends, family members, and co-workers.
The book won’t turn you into a mind reader, nor does it claim to. However, it will give you an easy tutorial on behavioral mannerisms and what they imply about the mood of an individual. This book is similar to learning a foreigh language. You may not be fluent after a few Spanish classes, but you are light years ahead of someone who has never spoken the language. In that vein, this book will give you an upper hand to nearly anyone else you encounter in your life.
The audio book is seven hours, but I highly recommend the print version which is 250 pages. It is full of visual aids that greatly add to the lessons.
