Women by Charles Bukowski

“Women” is novel by Charles Bukowski that follows the life of his alter-ego character, Henry Chinaski.  Chinaski’s life largely mirrors Bukowski’s own.  He’s an alcoholic writer who survives through on deadend jobs, however, his luck begins to change in “Women” as he starts to enjoy some moderate success as a writer and he indulges in the benefits that come with it.  If your a fan of Bukowski, you’ll enjoy the anti-hero’s rise from the bottom where he’d dwelled for so long.

At 300 pages or 10 hours, it’s a mid-length book that hits all the right spots for its intended audience.
