Crash and Burn is the second autobiography by comedian Artie Lange. The book is incredible, but it’s probably not for everyone. I started this on a fluke because it was on sale through Audible. I hadn’t read his first autobiography but fortunately that didn’t take anything away from the enjoyment of this book. Although, saying I enjoyed it feels a little strange.

This book details Artie’s drug addiction so vividly that it feels awkward. His is an amazing story about how he climbed to fame and money and how he held it all together as long as he did given his crippling addictions. At times you feel sorry for him. At other times you’re mad at him. The book gives you a real glimpse of what it’s like to have someone like this in your life. It’s a crazy and twisted story that is touching yet heartbreaking, if you’re into that type of thing.

At 320 pages or ten hours, the book itself is addictive and you will fly through it.
