Book Report – I Can’t Make This Up by Kevin Hart

Subtitled “Life Lessons”, this book is comedian Kevin Hart’s autobiography. His story is fascinating and the book is thoroughly entertaining. The book chronicles Kevin’s upbringing under a strict disciplinarian mother and the influences of his wild, irresponsible father. The book does a great job illustrating the influence both had on Kevin and how he has come to respect what both brought to his life.

Kevin Hart has long been recognized as an extremely hard worker and this story highlights where his work ethic was rooted and the important people in his life who inspired him along the way.

The book is 400 pages or just over 11 hours. The audio version, which is read by the author, can at times feel a little “over performed” but it rarely takes away from the enjoyment.
