Subtitled “A Fable About Following Your Dream” this book is an incredible short novel about a young shepherd boy who travels from Spain to Egypt in search of his “personal legend”. Through twisting events and circumstances, he finds that the success of his expedition is made possible only by the trials he experienced and endured.

At 208 pages or four hours, it is a quick read but one you will come back to many times. The Alchemist is a heart-warming story about life and the search for personal meaning that is relatable to any reader.
